2026 MPBCA Awards Program

The Board of Directors have decided that for the 2025-2026 season, we will take nominations for the following two awards:

  • Go Getter Award: Member who has made significant efforts to develop their skills and foster their relationship with their dog, making them your most inspiring team.

  • Ready to Fly Award: The ready to fly award recognizes a developing handler and dog team that has demonstrated dedication to advancing their skills and is prepared to move up to open level competition. This award is intended for teams that have shown growth maturity and readiness to take the next step in their competitive journey. Eligibility: the handler must not have placed in a sanctioned open trial. The handler and dog team must demonstrate level of skill and consistency that indicates readiness to compete successfully at the open level.

To nominate an individual for one of these awards, fill out the form below.  You may nominate more than one person for each award but you may only vote for one individual when the vote comes around.

The annual awards program is peer-based and awarded at the annual meeting. The awards will rotate through the years, with the MPBCA Board of Directors deciding what the two awards will be for the upcoming year. The membership will be notified of the two awards at the annual meeting. The award season starts and ends with the annual meeting.

The awards are not limited to those listed below. At any time an award category can be added and awarded. Any club member can suggest an award to the committee to be implemented in the future.
